They opened for the Foo Fighters this last tour. I personally thought they were horrible. Just my opinion. I am sure somebody enjoyed them.

They really are not a Mariachi band by the true sense. No drums in real Mariachi.

I agree .... I read the guitarist in the background is david hidalgos son from Los Lobos..the band looks like they are just having fun with their alter ego .Plus they dont have any mustaches or sombreros on!!!

Love The Bronx and love Mariachi El Bronx. Bought their first record not expecting more than a goof and it actually blew me away. Really enjoyed them live, but I've only seen them in clubs. Not sure how that would necessarily translate in an arena (like opening for the Foo Fighters). Anyhow, here's one of my favorites:

Yes Goof is the first thing you think of then your caught liking it for a second. They remind me of robert rodriguez's band Chingon.

im a huge bronx fan. and will be popping my mariachi cherry in january when they come out for the BDO. it helps that theyre being supported by the vasco era, a local band i dearly love. cant wait.

I saw them 5 or 6 times in the US, as they were supporting the Foo Fighters tour there...I actually really enjoyed them, was a bit bummed that I couldn't go to their Vienna concert a few weeks ago. When I first heard them I had a bit of a wtf reaction, but they really grew on me. Just need to put one of their songs on and it's sunny and I'm in California again. :D
