Poster tubes @ MSG??

Does anyone know if they allow you to bring in a cardboard poster tube at Madison Square Garden? I'm going to a Phish show there next week and was hoping to bring one in. Anyone have past experience with this?? Thanks!

    I had no problem doing that three years ago at the My Morning Jacket new years show...not sure if they've changed things since then.

    i'm not positive on this, but I think MSG usually sells the posters OUTSIDE the venue before the show sometime.

    They did this at Foo Fighters. So inside MSG, but before you have to show your ticket to go in. At MSG 2 last year, I went early to pick up my 10c tix, saw the merch stand, bought my poster, brought it home safely then went back later for the show :D

    Not sure if they do this ALL the time but seems like a safe bet.

    phish poster folks may be a little crazier than pj poster folks, so i suggest you get there very early. especially considering this will be a 4 poster set, it's gonna be a tough one.

    poster is sweet, 2 color versions, run of 700 each. good luck getting one

    What's confusing about not having any problem at all getting a poster tube into MSG?

    getting a tube in, gotcha. figured you meant getting a poster.

    well, getting a tube in might be tough since all the posters are sold out before the doors to MSG open, so it'll probably be tough to get a tube in.
