the sound is kinda muddled if you try to spin it while its still sealed...it sounds MUCH better if you play it without all the outside covers....its a record

Just... Can't ... open it! Waited this long I'm sure it'll stay sealed... I think I need to get another one so I can open one. I kind of have a problem like that. Lots of double vinyl so I can keep one sealed.
I can't be alone on this one can I?!
Believe me I LOVE playing records!

There's someones name who is down for 2000, but I am the very proud (and lucky!) owner of number 2000. I'm a constant lurker and never really post but thought I'd help out and let you know my number. I can send a photo in if proof is needed!

Probably not really for a box like Benaroya. The reason it's bad is because the tension can cause the album to warp. That's why the newer style seal is that looser kind (like on PJ20?). Anyway, the Benaroya box can handle the shrinkwrap I think so not much chance of warping.

Just rediscovered this list, made me feel all warm inside for being on it...
Not as warm as i felt when i played the set for the first time about a month ago in honor of the euro tour (yep, owned the set since buying it from 10C but needed all this time to buy a record player )
Probably took half the value off it by opening it, but it was BEGGING to be released Anyway, i will never sell this, sorry all those not lucky enough to own one... You'll have to wait till my son inherits it, and even then it's unlikely as i'm already indoctrinating him in the ways of PJ (ok, he'll be born in about 4 months, but i've been told he can already hear

I just saw #405 on the bay.com.au.... they're asking for $1250 AUD for it (that's around $1300 USD I think) and from the photos it looks opened. That's just crazy.

The box is a little tatty, and there's quite a scratch on side eight - fortunately it still plays fine on my turntable - but I'm just glad to finally have it, and didn't have to pay some of the crazy prices you see these days

dont punch yourself.
Opening it is what it is meant for. Hopefully you listened to it. If not, get a turntable, hook it up to some speakers and let it fly.
