When Atheism Becomes a Religion

And can I make the assumption that you were raised in a house that made it immediately clear at a young age that there is not a God? Or was it an analytic conclusion based on observations of science and biology?
if you made that assumption youd be mistaken. i was christened, i had my first holy communion and i was confirmed. if i wanted to wander over to the catholic church across the road, i wasnt stopped. i dont think i ever believed. i was born an atheist(as we all are) and was most likely agnostic til i was 11. it was then that this whole God thing didnt make any sense to me... no matter how hard i looked at it, or wanted it to, it just wasnt gonna happen for me.
what about the God particle? if you think semantics are gonna trip me up, youre sorely mistaken. why change it from higgs boson to the God particle? it has nothing to do with God... but we are talking about the building blocks of everything which many people believe are the work of a god so... and boy isnt it a head snapping title.
da da dum.. the GOD particle!!!!!!!!

I was raised Roman Catholic, but since I've matured I have found the religious beliefs of the world absolutely fascinating! Some of the best stories ever told. I by no means consider myself an atheist but a lover of all things beautiful and ugly, happy and sad, straight and gay. It's funny how atheists or any faith for that matter preach their beliefs as to be the only one that's TRUE yet we ALL WORSHIP the greatest of false idols...The almighty dollar. In God we Trust printed right on that mofo, and its in your pocket everyday...shit, you used 20 to 40 of them for your Tenclub memberships...Merry Christmas...Love you all."It's so nice to hear that in other parts of the world, the stress- borne from envy- that one finds for themselves is the animosity they develop towards a person selling a box of records. How fortunate!" ~ Thirty Bills Unpaid
