the "Forever Young" song?

Is this a Rod Stewart cover, and Ed original, or what?

Thanks!

Although, there is a Rod Stewart version that exists.

    But this isn't it.

I love this song (NOT STEWART'S!) and I've never heard Eddie do it, and I probably never will (I'm on dial up.) Answer me just one question that I can't get out of my head that I'll ask because this thread is already here: does he actually sing the first line, May God bless and keep you always? No one yell, just please, yes or no!!

Yeah, the video is Rod Stewart with a curly haired boy in the back of a truck or something, right?

    Ed's cover is beautiful.

yes, he does. you should do whatever it takes to hear it. He sings it so much different, slower, than Bob Dylan. I must have listened to this song 30 times a day when my mom died last year.

It's Bob Dylan off Planet Waves and Eddie does a very faithful version, especially the the guitar sound. Both Berkeley versions were amazing!

THANK YOU for answering me -- instinct tells me it must be incredibly healing and centering to hear Eddie sing it, there isn't one wasted word in that song, and you know, Eddie's pretty good with a lyric!! I DO need to hear it, but the trouble is, one of the reasons I need to hear it is because I just don't have what it takes in general anymore, never mind whatever it would take to hear it!!! I'll think of something...

I'm so sorry about your Mom, but I'm glad you are open to the comfort of the music -- there are a lot of people who just don't have that ability, and I'll be damned if I know how they get through a single day...
