Recently the volume slider on the iPhone has disappeared completely when I try and play songs. It's so annoying!!! Any ideas what has happened/how to get it back??

try a hard re boot...hold the home button and the button at the top at the same time, slide it off, then restart.

or you might have to restore it.

Try a correct hard re-boot. Hold the home button and the top button at the same time until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will reboot the phone. Should take about ten or 15 seconds for the Apple logo to come up. The slider will come up before the logo...do not take your fingers off of the buttons until you see the logo.
