So I just discovered this guy . What I've heard is briliant, he's very much like bon Iver and other folk singers going today. Where have you Canadians been hiding him :?: Also how is his previous Canadian band sound; Alexisonfire? Any info is appreciated 8-)

Glad to hear your enjoying City & Colour! Dallas Green is a busy guy and has lots of collaborations available as well but specific to the question on Alexisonfile - they are no more. Check their site out - http://www.theonlybandever.com/
  • yeah he's very talented, going to see him in February. As for alexisonfire, take what you know of Dallas Green, turn it upside down and inject it with testosterone. but as been said, they're no more :(

Dallas is more than amazing. Such honest and beautifully vulnerable music, I just love what he does! Saw him live in DC last weekend and was blown away. He sounds fantastic and is got a great band! Definitely catch City and Colour live if you can!

well if your like me and really get into a new artist/band by hearing some live stuff you can always check out some of that. theres a few live eps and full albums out there, but what you have now is a pretty awesome start

i don't mind city and colour. the new album, little hell, is the only album i can listen to from start to finish. the first two albums are a little to blah for my liking.

i don't know if its just the group of people i run with or if a lot of dallas green fans are like this.......... but they really piss me off. they hold him in such high regard. they talk like he is some musical genius. i do think he has a really great voice, but song writing talent? he's just okay... nothing great imo.

i'm glad alexisonfire is done with. that band is horrible, and again with a bunch of shitty fans. i cannot stand that type of music.

Dallas Green is doing a fine job on stage. I saw him a few weeks ago in Munich. I liked his way to sing and play his songs.
