Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Executives Charged with Fraud

6 executives (3 from each company) were charged with securities fraud and are being sued by the SEC.

    only problem with this is , they are being SUED in Civil court. Not charged witrh a CRIME in CRIMINAL Court.

    only problem with this is , they are being SUED in Civil court. Not charged witrh a CRIME in CRIMINAL Court.
    Sometimes hitting greedy pricks in the pocketbook is a better a sentence than jail.

    I would agree. However, I understand it is because the burden of proof is lower civilly as opposed to criminal. But My vote has to go with BOTH!!! Civil AND Criminal. :mrgreen:

    yea but it would be nice, in some countries criminals of this sort are publicly exacuted I was just suggesting 30 years in a state prision ;)

    Well, it may be possible to set up precedent for criminal charges. Any which way, its still documented and on the books. Unfortunately, for those of us informed, it may not be the judgement we all like to see happen.
