Set 1 Interstellar Overdrive, Corduroy, Last Exit, Animal, Life Wasted, Severed Hand, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Faithful, Marker In The Sand, Even Flow, Insignificance, I Am Mine, Wasted Reprise, Better Man, Lukin, Jeremy, Rearviewmirror
Encore 1 Off He Goes, Parachutes, Given To Fly, Do The Evolution, Go
Encore 2 World Wide Suicide, State Of Love And Trust, Black, Alive, Rockin' In The Free World, Yellow Ledbetter

The one and ONLY time that PJ have played on Nov 10th so far in there career, so the choice was easy today. I have ALWAYS loved the Australian shows. The crowds are always great!! There are a couple of shows from 95 and 98 that I would LOVE to get my hands on from there...Maybe someday!! I also like it when they open a shows with Interstellar Overdrive! My only wish was that it was more of a jam and ALOT longer..Tough to do opening a show, but I think it would fit great in the middle of RVM for about 4-5 minutes sometime!!! (anyone listening :D )

So.....If you have it....dig it out!!! If you dont...FIND IT!!! Spin it!!! Rock it!!!

Have a great day!!

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

Not a lot of rarities at this show, but still a solid setlist. I love the start to the first encore.

Yeah, although the opening of Interstellar Overdrive/Corduroy hasn't been used much recently. Not a bad show though, Faithful and MITS in that set, as well as Parachutes.

I just think if you are listening to an Australian show, it should be 11-11-06 since that's the date there! ;)

Too bad the official boot makes it sound like the band are playing in an aircraft hanger.

The worst sounding boot of 2006 by far.
  • yeah, i made the mistake of downloading the mp3 version of the adelaide show. whoops. sounds nasty.

  • I was at this gig... it was a freeeeeeeeaking great night.

To put it in perspective, i believe it should be ranked maybe #2, even above Newcastle, in the Aussie shows of 06 (but not ahead of Syd 3). Sure it didn't have Undone, Footsteps, Leatherman, Crown of Thorns, et al of Newcastle but the energy was off the charts.

Give me a great crowd over obscure rarities any day.

But... it's a pity the bootleg recording is soooooooooo shyte. When I first listened to it I thought I'd downloaded the wrong boot it was that bad (and differnent to the actual concert experience).

I know many of you Septics don't like the Aussie 06 posters, but the poster from this show is grouse too.

For me this was the best Aussie 2006 concert for crowd energy. I have never seen or heard a louder Aussie crowd then I did that night.

The band was blown away, and it was the first time on the Aussie tour that we got 'The Bow' at the end from the band.

Never left any other concert feeling more energised then that night.

You obviously haven't listened to Perth. The echo kills it for me. I struggle to listen to that one

    Really?

I only really notice the echo on Perth between songs, it doesn't distract me otherwise.

Brisbane, on the other hand, is just a mush from beginning to end.

I was just thinking the same!

Such a great bunch of shows, very thankful we've got the boots to remember them by.

It's high time for another visit "Down Undah", guys. We're ready.

To my knowledge, we are still missing the following:

    95

    2-24
    2-25
    3-6
    3-21

    98

    2-26
    2-28
    3-14

I have been very busy with other stuff as of late and havent been keeping up to much with this kind of thing what with all the other boots I have got, but last check, there was no known source for these, or the ones that are known, are being held on to VERY TIGHTLY! Who knows...

Same here......and it was the same from the 10c area (not sure what it was like from other areas) at the actual show, it was only noticable in between songs, when Ed was talking and you could here the echo or delay (whatever it was) coming from the speakers around the oval.
Wow...almost 2 years ago now......I still remember Ed saying at the end that they'd be back in a coupla years. Fingers crossed for an '09 tour!!

  • the recording doesnt do the crowd justice unfortunately. like someone else said, it had pretty much the most energy on the tour (syd3 was also high energy i take it). a great friday night crowd.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
