DO THE POZNAN

Now, as a United fan, I HATE to do this. But Manchester City have adopted 'the Poznan' (google it), turning their backs to the pitch when they score :

So, in light of these unfortunate events, I'm suggesting we extend this city's little custom as a demonstration and expression of what we've all been through the last few days.

We make a collective effort to show our feelings by turning our backs for one song. Maybe the first song of encore 1 ?

Come the gig in six months time, a lot of these feelings will have dissolved and we'll be wrapped up at the excitment of being at the gig (sure, quite near the toilets at the back, but hey) and a lot of this will be forgotten, but I don't think this can be glossed over.

10c evidently aren't replying to emails or hearing concerns so we need to find another way of doing this. It's not turning our back on the band, on the chaps on stage who we love - they didn't do this. But we need to turn our backs on the organisation for a moment. Let our voices be heard.

It would take organisation, but if we all stood together on this, I think a very clear, democratic, unified voice would be heard all the way back in Seattle.

So who's in ? Reply. Keep this alive. Let's do this.

Stand for something or you fall for anything.

    Why pay money to protest?!

I also don't think City implemented it in defiance, did they?

  • People who bought tickets on general release may not have been stiffed on pre sale so they won't have a beef with ten club. The first couple of rows may take part in a show off unison to fellow members but as you say by that time the anger may have dissolved.

  • I think I'd rather go crazy about seeing my favourite band and hope that the crowd as a whole show them some proper love and appreciation that they are playing what we all know will be an amazing show for us. Preferably with some "Pearl Jam, Pearl Jam" chants rather than the usual "Eddie, Eddie".

But that's just me I guess.

in principle its a great idea... it would actually be a funny thing to do regardless of the 'protest' aspect of it.

in reality... only 10% of the fans got shut out as not everyone is in 10club... the rest are oblivious to the aborted fetus of a ticket stub lying in a bloody mess at Crowdsurge/10c doorstep... so they would be less likely to participate.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I am also a spurs fan my good friend! Albeit one who lives in Manchester. Imagine having to work with Utd & City fans all these years getting abuse (although they seem to have gone a bit quieter this season  )
