For a band who releases great soundboard releases, why would they put such horrible unlistenable quality songs like why go, garden, on the pearl jam 20 soundtrack? Thought they had good soundboard quality of almost every show. Plus I think the why go from the same show on the pearljambootlegs.org site sound wayyyy better than the actual cd version, very strange.

read cameron crowe's notes on alive from their first show. maybe you'll find the answer there.

well thats how 'proper bootlegs' sound and that's how it sounds in the movie from the video footage so it wouldn't be the same if the soundtrack quality was different now would it.
I had it all once I gave it back

"like some of the other tracks on these discs, sonic quality must be sacrificed in favor of a little bit of history."
