the Frank Erwin Center would be an awesome place to see a show. Hopefully I can go to this. Any word on the opening band? Only seen Tom Petty once in Dallas on the 35th celebration/ Highway companion tour. Had ticket to see them in 2008, but the Toadies did their no deliverance cd release party show for Houston the same night. Had already comitted to that. Would love to see Petty again though.

The Erwin Center is a great venue. Saw AC/DC there in '96. Had a great time, until my appendix burst. Yep, during the show

That sucks. Glad you are ok though, cause without emergency surgery that's pretty fatal.

Hmm, seems like he's really fallen off his stance. What happened to the guy that railed against the price of cd's and made a whole album about how disgusted he was with this sorta thing.

He's always been on the more expensive side, but that seems kinda ridiculous. Last time I saw them they got their asses handed to them by a reunited Black Crowes. TP and the HB's looked old and tired. In 01 and 02 they put on a really great show, but somethin was definitely lacking in 05.

They have 3 different price ranges for the St.John's show:$169, $149, and $79 however most seats are $169 with very very few being at $79. Even $149 is wayyyy to expensive, especially when petty plays about 17 songs a night.

There's a show in Halifax, NS being announced Monday, but if you live here you already knew that since it's been in the paper all week.

I'd guess probably 2 days before St. John's, NL

I don't understand people saying his ticket prices have always been on the high side, when I saw him with Steve Winwood a couple of years ago they were selling lawn tickets for $25.00-$30.00, I saw him in 2005 and the prices were below average for a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer that is pretty much a legend.

I've only seen him once, but lawn tickets at Smirnoff in Dallas in 2006 were $35. We ended up getting free tickets in the pavilion seats though.
