What will you do with your extra PJ20 Vinyl?

What will you do with it when the value of these things drops dramatically? You can get these things still for retail price in store and on-line if you look hard enough.

So, when you realize that your trade bait is not even worth the 79 bucks you spent on the extra copy, what will you do?

it does seem like the market is a bit saturated with those.

I cancelled my other 2 preorders once I got a copy from Amazon on Monday. Im glad one order beat the other 2 to give me enough time.

Damn man! I wish I would've known! I've had 3 orders cancelled on me (Easystreet, ImportCD's, Soundstagedirect)!! And now I'm hoping Best Buy will be able to complete my order when it's not backordered, but with my luck it will be cancelled also..

Trade it for something of similar value (whatever that value is) or keep the extra on my shelf as backup. Got a couple friends I could give it to as a birthday gift. Maybe give it away on here to someone like I did my beat up Riot Act vinyl. Whatever. Don't matter much to me as I just wanted to secure a copy and it turned out both came through for me.

I always buy two. If you play a record and enjoy it, you'll find that it wears out over time. Plus, you never know how these things are going to arrive. Bent up cardboard, broken wax. I've seen it all.

And if all is grand and both are mint. I'll keep that extra copy sealed up for a rainy day. People felt that Riot Act wouldn't ever reach the heights it did. Nor Avocado. And Rearviewmirror? Why would that be so hard to track down? It's just a greatest hits compilation on vinyl. (And the one release of theirs I still don't have).

Take a look around at the vinyl community and you'll learn that people are endlessly passionate about their wax. These will hold value.

And no, you can't simply get them for retail most places. Oh and I have no idea where one would have spent over $70 for one. I know I didn't.

Two places were posted today that had them at one point today....I'm sure more will come up tomorrow

And the key words being "...had them at one point today...". As in, limited. No longer have them. Not trying to pick a fight, but don't guarantee that this thing is going to remain readily available on the market for months or years. It's likely the stock was held back by the pressing company in case they needed to feed larger retailers at the beginning.

Having more than one copy of this record is hardly the worst decision about ephemera a fan could make.

I constantly think back to a number of years ago when all of John Frusciante's albums were readily available on vinyl at my local indie shop. I mean, half a dozen of each at that point - which was around 6-8 releases. They were well under $20 a pop (I think $11). Now try to find them. I kept telling myself i'd get around to buying them.

Yes, the market is saturated right now, but really only because everyone thinks they can get $200 for it.

Agreed. I ordered like 4 of these and 3 got cancelled. Wish I had extras, bc I honestly think this album will be worth several hundred bucks after the market figures out there are not enuf to go around... Maybe not Benny status, but definitely ITWild type pricing... IMHO. Extras would allow me to trade for some things I couldn't otherwise necessarily afford...

I just remembered to cancel the "Backordered" one from Best Buy, not that it was ever coming anyway.
I'm surprised, I thought the Best Buy one would have been the only one that arrived, not the only one that didn't.
