Well, it's been over a year and I still haven't received the MVS from a year ago. Anybody else SOL like me?

Refresh my memory. What's this mystery single? Is it something you had to buy or is it something everyone was supposed to get?

last year around September/October, a random sale of 7" singles were put up for sale. I think there were like 1000 (there were like 2 copies of the 91 holiday single, ONE BLUE FIXER, blahblahblah), $10/each, they were all put into shipping envelopes, jumbled up....you buy they send whatever. Don't remember the limit, but they sold out pretty fast, I missed out. It was after they put up the mystery grab bags.

Can't say if you're out of luck or not, but I'd assume a year going by is likely an indication that it's not coming.

I really really loved the mystery single thing, would love to see it, or something like it, happen again.

    It actually happened in November.
I contacted 10C a feww months afterward and they gave me a tracking number. DHL took it from Seattle to a USPS sorting facility. From there it went to another facility where it never left.
I was curious if anybody else, especially those located in the NJ/NY area was in the same situation?

That stinks. I'm in NJ, not far from Jersey City, and got mine around the same time as others.

I had that happen to me one time (not for 10C merch) where it never left a sorting facility..not a good sign in my experience. I called USPS and and it was a hassle, but they found the item and sent it in another USPS envelope...When I opened the envelope all that was left of my item was a torn up cardboard box. :o I would try to call someone at USPS and see what the issue is.

I agree...call USPS and see what's up. I have had packages 'go missing' and when I call the 800 number (800-ASK-USPS) they file a report, then they direct me to my local branch giving me the manager's name and direct line, and I call them. They sort it out pretty fast. If they don't, call the 800 number back and tell them your branch is not helping, they will do as much as they can for you (had to do that once, the manager at my branch wasn't happy I reported him.)

    Yeah.
If you EVER have a TRACKED mail item and it GOES AWOL ...
    YOU CALL IMMEDIATELY.

The longer that goes by, the less your chances become.
Also, after a while, your right-to-remedy ($$$) goes down the drain.
    :(

10c should offer an insurance option on some of this shit as well. Because even WITH tracking, you usually are hosed (from the perspective of the post office) without insurance.
Looking back on it, sending out Benaroya with no choice of tracking and insurance was a Balls Crazy idea.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
  • While on the subject, will there be a 2011 holiday vinyl? and when's it due?

    Many thanks :)

10C envelopes used to have a self addressed stamp on the right top corner which stated where to send the item in case it cannot be delivered; they don't have it anymore...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...
