WWED - What would Eddie do?

I have been to a dozen shows, listened to countless bootlegs, and have heard Mr. Vedder speak out against corporate greed and irresponsible management numerous times. He repeatedly challenges audiences to vote with their wallets...not to fill their tanks at BP, not to shop at Wal-Mart (Target is okay), etc. Well, Pearl Jam/Ten Club is no longer running their business responsibly and it is making them appear greedy (although we all know the contributions they make to countless charities). The bottom line is the fans are fed up with the Ten Club not coming through on basic commitments to members. I for one cannot remember the last time I successfully bought pre-sale tickets and I still have not received my 2010 holiday single. People are renewing and receiving the same shirt as last year when it is supposed to be new each year. Limited items are added to the website and unless you are on at the moment you miss your opportunity. Enough is enough. I listen to Jeff in the PJ20 talk about not becoming what he hated of sell-out rock bands....well Jeff....time to turn it around. Get back to quality over quantity. My membership has expired and I am now in my 90 day grace period for the first time in 11 years of membership. If this band/fanclub cannot come through by then I will have to take EV's advice and stop supporting them. Their failure to fulfill orders would be unacceptable from any other business, and is even worthy of being reported to the better business bureau.
you're god and you've got big hands
