It was in Not For You. I think he's refering to himself, Jill, their daughter. I remember when he was with Beth he said, "Seats just two (me and Beth)." Or something like that. Might have even been SNL. If I'm wrong someone please correct me, but I think that's the reason.

That crossed my mind too, but i figured it might have something more to do with the events of that night.

He said (me and beth) while singing at some point?

I'm glad you all like the boot too!

The bitching was mainly on the Porch, and like someone said, it's probably because they were expecting an epic show.

Just got the second boot, very excited about hearing it!

Funny, I just talked to a few folks from here who went to the show in DC last nigth and they said just the opposite. He said that the crowd last night wasnt into and he couldnt believe how many people in the first few rows were sitting through the first set.

Im saying one thing or the other, but one person cant make a blanket statement on how the entire crowd experience was. Every show you get half the people saying the crowd sucked...there was the best energy, then the other half say the opposite. Its stupid to get in these pissing matches about who's crowd is better.

Being row 3 center, we got a real good look at the 2 front rows and not one single person was sitting. Maybe the fact that people lean forward on the barrier had this person confused.

Cool, I'm glad we sounded loud because from where I was, everyone was going crazy all night long.

Sometimes its nice to have a rarities show because you get to hear things you haven't heard before. But it was actually refreshing to have a show without rarities for once because everyone (hardcoare fan and newbies) were pumped about every song.

  • I was at Camden I and was one of the people who posted about the "lame" crowd. What I sort of realized after the show was this: People on the lawn complained the most, while people who were in seats did NOT seem to complain nearly as much. What I noticed at the show was that the way Tweeter Center is built, the sound of the entire seated area's crowd cannot be heard well from the lawn. Case in point: during Present Tense, all the people under the roof were CLEARLY singing along quite loudly, but from where I was on the lawn, I mainly heard only the band. this happened in a few other songs as well.

the energy of the people around you certainly effects you, and to not be able to hear the incredible noise of HALF the crowd certainly did make a difference. It is this, in my opinion, that caused many people to question the crowd's enthusiasm/legitimacy.

Oh, and one more thing. Though that was the last Tweeter Center show I'll ever attend, the band itself absolutely fuckin rocked.

I agree with ya about Tweeter, I hate that place. I hope when they come back they can play the Wach or better yet, the Spectrum!

I thought the show was epic! Maybe not their best ever, but a really solid effort that surpassed anything 99% of the touring bands out there can pull off. The crowd in the pavillion was loud, rowdy, dancing and singing along all night long. Don't let the naysayers fool ya. Get this boot.
