Cashing in on grunge....

At the shopping centre aka mall close to my place there is a fashion store that is selling grunge style clothing, on the mannequin is a tshirt with Kurt's image and a flannelette styled shirt over it.
Ridiculous.

It's come back, I thought grunge was dead in 1996.

Flannos def made a comeback a while ago here.. had to laugh at how much the kids were paying for them though lol.

Surf: light blue pegged corduroy pants, horizontally striped shirts, baggies (swim suit).
College Hippie: Wide whale cords, paisley or bleeding madras shirt, flowered everything

Punk: Black pegged pants, ripped t-shirt, black leather jacket, metal accoutrements
New Wave: Polite punk, red and black garments, angular patterns
Grunge: shorts over long johns, flannel shirt, work boots or tennies

I remember when I was in primary school, circa 1992 and 8yrs old I had a flannelette shirt, and so did many of my classmates.
But I did not understand what grunge was then lol

The check shirt has been around here for a while - I must go rip a pair of jeans and get a random tshirt to match my DM's I'm waiting on it to come back fully as we've had 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's - it's the most logical progression!

Actually at the beginning of this fall, I was perusing in a look book for fall fashion at a high end dept. store and it said "GRUNGE" and had "work" boots, plaid, etc. I continued looking no farther and threw that shit out after getting a pretty good laugh from it.
