Does anyone have any word on a soundcheck? Or is it too early?

    MmMM...it's almoast 8 o clock over there...And doors opened at 7.30 I think...So I'm guessing soundceck is over by now...

    The correct form is "is," as in "Pearl Jam is awesome." It is one Pearl Jam.

    If you were talking about more than one, it would be "are," as in "The members of Pearl Jam are awesome." or "The Chicago Bears are awesome."

    See, in the last example, Bears is plural (more than one), so its "are."

    Agreed, but I've seen music mags and entertainment columnists use "U2 are" or "Metallica are" before. That made me wonder if the usage is acceptable.

    I still opt for "Pearl Jam is", but I only raised the question because I've noticed at times people I would expect to be knowledgeable use the other.

    Happy 100th post to me....the guy on the red mosquito did say his relayer wasn't going to send it song by song and he said he has not received a message yet so hopefully the songs are on the way
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    in hiding has been my song this whole damn week....i keep listening to the version from SF :)
