How to get a hold of James Hetfield/Lars Ulrich

A friend of ours is dying from brain cancer and I thought it would be cool if I could get him something from Metallica? Maybe signed? Phone call? It's the holidays and he has two young kids.....won't be here long...SAD!
any suggestions?....They are big fans, him and his wife.....

    i'd say go to a Metallica fan site and talk to their fans and see if they can help
