Anyone else a fan? SO excited to be seeing Dallas tomorrow night in DC! Such an amazing singer-songwriter, I really enjoy every album he has put out, with Bring Me Your Love being my favorite. Definitely think Little Hell is one of my favorite albums of 2011 too! Beautiful voice, vulnerable and honest lyrics- just love him!

This is my favorite City and Colour song, Sleeping Sickness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFjqQh7TSTo

Absolutely...just saw him here last week. He's really come a long way working up some of the arrangements with the full band...even added a guy playing slide guitar and keys. They were tight as hell and his voice was on point. You're gonna have a blast.

  • I'm a new fan, but I love these guys. Little Hell is a stellar album. My favorite tune is probably the Grand Optomist.

What an AWESOME show in DC at the 9:30 Club, I had an absolute blast!! First I must say I did enjoy one of the opening bands, Hacienda, very much. Always a plus at a show hearing a cool opener! Anyway, Dallas' voice is just as amazing and mesmerizing and gorgeous live. Highlights were Sleeping Sickness (my favorite), What Makes a Man (great crowd sing a long), Body in a Box (before this, Dallas made an awesome speech telling people to put their cameras down and enjoy the moment rather than being consumed with capturing it to remember it later), Sometimes, The Grand Optimist, and The Girl! :) And pjl44, you were absolutely right, very tight band! Great crowd as well that showed a lot of respect for Dallas and each other- good on ya DC  If you're a fan definitely catch City and Colour live.

On another note, this show marked the end of my 2011 concert year and shit- what an amazing year for me in live music, and a great concert to close it out on :)

Excellent! Glad it lived up to expectations. He gave our crowd the same camera speech, to which I clapped loudly. I enjoy his between song banter almost as much as the music; great sense of humor and always a baseball joke or two.

I've known about City and Colour for a long time butI've never really gotten into him. Went to his show in Red Deer a few days ago to see Shakey Graves open. I figured I better listen to a little Dallas Green so I bought "The Hurry and the Harm" but once again it didn't really pull me in. Thoroughly enjoyed Shakey Graves and then I was captivated with City and Colour, he opened with Woman and it blew me away. Bought "If I should go before you" at the show and have been listening to it non-stop.
