I'm gonna try to catch Radiohead in Berlin that night, although it's sold out... And also accommodation is double the money in Stockholm than in Berlin, as I'm sure a lot of other things will be... But thanks for the generous offer... If we do decide to come one day before, i'll make sure to bring some OUZO or/and some Raki (Greek firewater!!):lol:

What's the best/cheapest way to get from Stockholm to Oslo and from Oslo to Copenhagen? Would it be the train? 99% on Stockholm
    Help?

    I found this little site here: http://goscandinavia.about.com/od/getti ... lmoslo.htm

from what I've gathered so far, bus is the cheapest way of getting from stockholm to oslo. distance is about 500 km, but the ride takes 8 hours and you have to change once, costs about 30€. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a bit of the countryside either..maybe if we're a lot of people, we could have a fanbus going?

train seems to be about 60€, but they don't have prices on the site yet, too far in advance I guess. plus it said cheaper tickets will be released closer to the date. you can also fly for about 65€, takes only an hour, check norwegian.com.

for oslo - copenhagen, I'd definitely fly, with above mentioned airline...doubt there are trains as you're going over the sea.

oh, if you're still looking for a hotel in oslo, I got the Scandic Vulkan for 150€ for 2 nights+breakfast (which is pretty pricey, but yeah it's Norway and hostels are not that much cheaper if you don't want dorm rooms), 4 star place that just recently opened. it's on booking.com. will reward me for the bed bugs I'll probably have caught in the other places. ;)

oh, and back on topic...I need to see when I can leave my conference in Bremen, but if I do manage to be in Stockholm on the 6th already, I'm definitely in on the pre-partying! :)

G´Day Brent and Välkommen! :D well, early days yet but I´ll probably do the fine details on how to get here, adress, my phonenumber etc via PM´s. If at all possible, would you mind bringing some Vegemite?, (I ran out a long time ago) Love the stuff!!! just a small jar.. we CAN get it here at a specialty shop in town, but its expensive and most likely almost at its expiry date once bought. And it just tastes better to me if I know it was bought in Oz..... Anyway will let you in on all the datails, later! Keep checking back , or PM me with any questions. Have a safe trip, Cheers!

Count me in for Stockholm! I don't care what it costs. My great-grandparents immigrated to the US from Sweden so it will be neat to visit there.

you're welcome! yup, I figured they might be a bit cheaper now before everyone runs to book theirs, doesn't necessarily seem to be the case though, stockholm's especially expensive as it's a weekend....booking.com allows you to cancel without additional costs, so if I find something better I can still change.

Hopefully I'll get tickets on wednesday (I was a few days short when renewing my membership), and then we'll make plans on what's gonna happen in July.
