Hi all. Planning on going to this show next year. I've always wanted to go as they usually have pretty amazing lineups. PJ attending is a great excuse to make it next year.

Just wondering for those of you that went in 2010, what is the festival like as a whole? Camping, food/drink, public transport etc. I was lucky enough to go to Glastonbury in 2010 and it was amazing. Really well set up, easy to get to and all that.

Does werchter usually sell out or have I got a bit of time up my sleeve to get tickets?

  • last time they played their i see on the setlist it was not a very long set, i know most festivals are not logn sets, but some festivals allow some headliners to play 2 hours or a bit more, ie woodstock 94 etc in usa, or bonaroo i nusa, i saw metallica on youtubeh ad some 2 hour + shows at europe festivals, but i dont think werchester is one of those, or france one either. maybe the isle of wright they will get a 2h our set

showed up in the late morning on the day PJ played and waited about an hour in the spare ticket line - there's a window set up where people with extra tickets can sell them back at face value and people without tickets can buy them.

pretty ingenious setup and something all festivals should have.

Hmmm. Thanks for that. They are on sale now. Hopefully booking airfares this week and tix early next week. Will be happy just to get to see pj really. Never seen them at a festival before, not expecting a huge set. Will be cool nonetheless. At this rate, I'll have seen pj more times overseas than home (australia) :)

how do they monitor the scalpers are not selling them back at more than face value?

i agree but if im coming from canada , i may be better off just to wait for usa tour, and go to a bunch of usa shows instead, it probably will be cheaper $
  • i was hoping for a euro tour like in 2006, with tons of shows then i can go to 5 or 6 shows in 2 or 3 countries, if i go to europe i probably go to berlin-copenhagen. i look up trains for berlin and stockholm, and forget i never been there so, ya cause there no road there no trains right, i have to fly from berlin to stockholm there no other way right
  • i have a strong feeling the copenhagen show is last for a reason on this euro tour and the fans died at the festival there in 2000, and it been 12 years since, i bet pj plays the longest show out of the whole eruo tour in copenhagen, i bet they play atleast 2 and half hours. just my opinion from what pj has done before, like when i saw them in state college 03 in pa, and their last tour shows more than once have been crazy, have a feelign copenhagen is gonna get an amazing show

Really, 22 songs or 30 songs I don't care. It's fun to be there, and I'm not going to worry if it is 2 hours or 2.5 hours. Maybe I'm just getting old.
