I was at a Karoke place last night...

for my work xmas party.
Only one PJ song, Alive.
And it was totally wrong, the music was not right lol.
Made it hard to sing. :(

    If it helps, most available Pearl Jam karaoke is very hard to sing. I can't tell you the number of times I have completely effed up I Got Shit and Given To Fly. 2 years ago at the wishlist karaoke party before Bridge School we all did Smile and the lyrics came up as "3 crooked hearts stir it all around" or something like that. :lol:

    Love me some karaoke!!

    I went to some karaoke contest thing at this local bar a year or so ago and one of the contestants did Given to Fly....he TOTALLY butchered it. He saw my tattoo at some point and actually came up to me and apologized to me for how bad he was! I was just happy someone represented PJ :D

    I once nailed "Betterman" at a local bar...I was pretty hammered and thought eh, what's the worst that can happen? It was a pretty upbeat crowd and everyone was cheering even people who weren't that good. By the end of the song people were clapping and singing along with me! I doubt I sounded anywhere near as good as Ed, but the enthusiasm was nice. :D

    sidenote: I have a karaoke machine at my house complete with a micrcophone...a "Bay Area PJ karaoke/piss off jammergirl's neighbors party" HAS to happen.... :P

    We just got back from a resort in carribean. We went to the "karaoke night," and for fun I thought I'd flip through the available songs. Of the 2000+ songs available, 2 were Pearl Jam:

    Just Breathe.

    Bugs.


    I wanted to do it just to see the awkward, open mouthed silence it would produce.

    Other than maybe Radioheads fitter/happier, is Bugs the least Karaoke friendly song ever?

    No one there understood why I found it so funny.

    YES!! lets start planning that shit! and bring your cds, we only have a couple crappy ones that came with the set-up. woo, karaoke party!!

    Ive rocked YL and DTE. this was before youtube - when i was a regular at a karaoke bar in college i had the guy order a bunch of PJ. he probably doesnt Dj any more and ever since i have found most dj's carry Jeremy and EF if you are lucky...such is life i guess...
