    seeing as it's a bullshit list i wouldn't put Ed on it. Bob Dylan was good but better than Lennon/McCartney? not even close!

    Jay Z?? no fucking way!! he SUCKS!! i can think of 10 rappers off the top of my head that have way better lyrics than him.

    not to say everyone on the list didn't belong but the placement is questionable.

    I agree with a few on this list but Jay fucking Z? Seriously? Babyface I could see. Believe it or not Barry Manilow was the king of the radio in the 70's so I could see that. You could not go anywhere and not hear 1 of his songs. At least that is what I remember as a kid. Neil Diamond for sure! Beck is great. Neil yes. Bruce yes. Fleetwood Mac. John and Paul. Bob for sure.

    I would put Ed in this group without doubt. But that's my opinion.

    Ed would be #1 on my list, Betterman at whatever age he wrote it??? ITW???? No Code, Vitalogy, Yield, the list goes on. As well known or as popular? not by a long shot, but he's as good a songwriter as ANYONE on that list and better than at least 15 of them
