    highlights for me:

    -the previously mentioned arc compilation

-finding out that ed is a fucking badass on the guitar and other various instruments he played for us.

-meeting patrick warburton and cameron crowe and seeing nfanel gush over cameron ;)

-meeting pjtaper and finding out he isn't a psycho like he appears to be on the message board (thanks for the beer).

-meeting cutback and finding out he does exist (thanks for the ride my friend). thanks to foxwell(?) for putting up with me and for talking me out of buying a hotdog from the street vendors.

-seeing lizard and her husband again, hope to see you again when the 2nd leg west coast swing happens.

-meeting foxy, EvilClosetMonkey, SOLAT13, meistereder and his wife. all very cool people. if i left anyone off and i know i did, i didn't mean to, you are all cool.

Haha! We are not married. It was good to meet you and nfanel too, among others. What a show. Again, as with the Santa Barbara pre-show, this one was very well organized. I wish I could just keep going to concerts every night.

Absolutely amazing. ARC. So happy I was able to make at least one show.

Looks like all the finer points have been taken care of. Couldnt agree more with everyone's take on the good and the bad...

My party of four, (wife and two kids) made it to the pre-party. Nice job! Got to meet a few folks from here and noticed alot more. We arent the most outgoing people so I didnt get to say hey to everyone that I would like to. Next time though.

My daughter didnt realize that Ed was playing two shows in LA until Friday. Once she found out she wondered why we werent going to Sundays show and kind of teased me about not being able to go. Then after talking with FoxyMop, my daughter is trying to guilt me into taking in the east coast shows... OK, its her college fund I'll be using.

By the way, I am not sure if anyone elase mentioned it, but I was in the mezzanine, and Phil Jackson and Jon Lithgow walked by us a couple times and sat in the first row of the balcony. They both appeared to be fans.

At the end of the first encore, they walked out, but as Eddie came back out with Liam Finn, John Lithgow stood at the exit to watch. Then he came back and watched the whole second encore. Then he walked out again, but then Eddie came back again and Lithgow was rocking out to Hard Sun in the aisle. He had a big smile on his face, so he obviously had a good time.

I knew Phil Jackson was a huge Grateful Dead fan, so it does not surprise me that he is a PJ fan as well. And it prepared him to crush the Spurs yesterday.

Agreed and agreed. Love that license plate you saw and enjoyed meeting you. I did not even ask if you posted on here!!(sorry).

cameron crowe and patrick warburton were sitting right behind me and sweet adeline. they were really friendly - patrick was there with his son, said it was his son's first show.

i was gushing to cameron crowe about how much i love his movies and carrying on about almost famous and say anything and he seemed to be genuinely appreciative of the compliments/gushing. really cool guy. he even tapped sweet adeline on the shoulder after "i'm open" to ask what song it was. i've been a cameron crowe fan for so long it all felt kind of surreal to have him (the ultimate music fan) tapping on the back of my chair during a concert! seriously one of the top experiences i've had! :)

i think everyone already covered how amazing arc was. that was definitely a special moment that words can't describe.

ed really knows how to command a room. i didn't think it was possible to gain more respect for him but i really did. i can't say enough about it!!! :)

it was really great meeting so many cool pit people at the pre-party (lizard, mcjuicy, meistereider, foxymop...) thanks to her and everyone else who helped put that together! and thanks, cutback for the ride. meeting cutback was up there with meeting cameron crowe and patrick warburton. (he does exist!) :p:D

holy dogshit! that's awesome! did you tell cameron crowe that steve dunne says hello and is doing well? ;)

glad you all had a great time!

Agree - I was fighting back tears during Arc. The whole show was emotional for me. Ed's voice and playing were incredible.

The only negatives, that asshole who kept yelling - he better not be sitting near me tonight - can I bring in pepper spray?
Don't know why, but the "Footsteps" guy did not bug me. In fact, I kinda giggled everytime I heard it. But I do get that it was inappropriate.
    Enkidu wrote:
The other sort of negative, where I was sitting (loge) nobody was singing or really seemed into the music - that's one of the best parts of any concert, when everybody around you is totally pumped up.

I was in the Loge and, although it might have seemed people weren't "into the music," I know I saw a whole lot of people leaning forward, literally on the edges of their seats. I think they were "into it" but just not in a Pearl Jam manner. I was totally into it, but you might not have known, by looking at me. I was blissed-out!

..wish my seats were next to phil jackson..that would have been seet....

My seats were next to Phil (practically). I only wish I had been further away! Then again, I'm a Laker Hater . I did like the fact that a $10M/yr guy couldn't get any better tickets than me. BTW, he left early. Poser :p!

All in all, I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was PERFECT, as far as I was concerned. Two days later and I'm still on a high. No Mike; no Ben, but it really didn't matter. Ed alone was more than enough.

First night with no ten club seats last night. Sat in Mez but show was still amazing. Can't get over he amount of idiots though. People constantly up and down to get beers, fight broke out behind me due to some assholes talking throughout Liam's set, girl next to me passed out, and guy two rows back puked up a day's worth of food. VERY CLASSY PEOPLE!

Great show but some effed up folks!

though i was not in the building......i was THERE and Ed sounded freakin INCREDIBLE. It did not at ALL sound like he's been on tour. his voice was perfect and when he busted out with arc....it was AMAZING. It was like Ed surround sound!!! you could FEEL it.

When him and liam did Throw Your Arms Around Me, it was perfect. I hadd never heard that live and as VEDHEAD27 said to me : "YOUR FIRST TIME HEARING THIS AND ITS WITH LIAM??!!!! DAMN URE LUCKY!!!!" it was so special and i called someone even more special that couldnt be here so they can listen. :)

now, evryone knows i love EVENFLOW. but, i have a thing for PORCH. They are side by side. I have always been opposed to ed doing PORCH in his pre-sets becuz as stated numerous times, im more for rockin out!!! well, let ME just say that ED freakin threw it down hardCORE saturday night when he played PORCH! i was DYING. Lydia and i were jumping and rockin out TO ED DOING PORCH SOLO!!! WHAAAAT???!!!! it was CRAZINESS. We couldnt see him but we imagined the look on his face-hair swinging as he played the guitar! For ME to say PORCH was awesome evenFLOW The Master wasnt there, says ALOT! :D

They wrote a song lyric for you:

    "Where seldom is heard
    a discouraging word!"

Kudos to you for always being so positive. I always try to see the good in people, but damn, I get so easily annoyed!

wow THANK YOU!!! :D it really WAS a good exxxperience HEARING the music and FEELING it. I think thats when u know ure a real fan and youve been reached. PEARL JAM has that effect on alot of us but Ed ALONE? im a huge fan of his voice-theres no doubt. I wasnt scrambling to get tickets becuz i knew there were alot more people that would want to be there more than me. For lydia and i to get lucky like we did? THAT was just a huge gift. it really felt that we were in a living room or something, talking while enjoying listening to ED LIVE!!! damn i cant get over how great it was!!!
