Was FOX News bought by The Onion when I wasn't paying attention? Because, it sure sounds like it.
That was Fox Business. It was Onion-like.
...
The entire FOX family... Obama never thanked God in his Thanksgiving message... English/British... Commie Muppets... it all sounds like reports you'd find in The Onion. What is going on over there?
...
Or maybe, Stephen Colbert is their editorial writer.

Hail, Hail!!!
I just watched that clip. I happen to know for a fact that the host of the show who said that he grew up poor, dead broke, wrong side of the tracks or whatever is COMPLETELY FULL OF SHIT.
How do I know that? Because he's my cousin. No, he didn't grow up in a mansion or anything like that, but his parents were very well-off. As a matter of fact, I drive past the house he grew up in almost every morning on my way to drop my kids off at school. And that school is in a very nice neighborhood.
Although by Fox's standards, maybe that does qualify as "dead broke."

That's very interesting. Thank you for sharing that.

They all serve an audience and some are more specific then others. The object is to get ratings so more money can be made. Fox and MSNBC have an advantage because their audience is more defined, thus easier to sell ads from people looking to profit from a specific demographic.
PBS serves the state and without the state to support it, it would have been shuttered decades ago. As much as I love the Red Green show, the overall product they offer is consistent with those that are unconcerned over prosperity, improvement, or lack of job security.
As for the Muppet movie, I recommend taking your children or niece / nephews to it. It's good fun.

They all serve THEMSELVES. They create National Enquirer stories to get people who agree with them to watch and recieve the advertisements. And people who tend to get their news and form their opinions from that box of fear in their living rooms are just what they are looking for.

Yeah and I can't speak for everyone but I certainly didn't give a fuck. Good thing Fox was there to break the story.

they all have 1 thing in common.
they all serve the state.
They serve shareholders.

The distinction is getting blurry. The corporate-media-government complex is one all-encompassing liberty-devouring megalomaniacal monster.
