Did Tim say they would get new servers after the whole PJ20 & Canadian Tour Tickets? It is really slow & there is only 206 users online. Most users ever online was 1608 on Mon May 23, 2011 1:27 pm

Whatever the hell it was, Tim said on the AET show, that they realized they had a problem and would work on an entirely new system.....

there could be all kinds of issues right now, and as shocking as it is, maybe not even the 10c fault for it being slow at the moment.

As for the Alpine/Canadian tickets- they did try and set it up on the Amazon cloud server, it did not work, and they said they would build a new ticketing system, and Tim did apologize,.

did you really think that it would be done by now? i have a feeling that tickets won't be on sale here. rebuilding & creating a whole new server is not easy & can't be done overnight.

also, the tweet didn't guarantee that there would be an announcement today.

Matt, I'm sure no one would say overnight is fair.

    But wasn't it since May?

I'd say 7-8 months is completely a fair amount of time.

    true, Tboz...
hard to believe it's been that long since F5 day. well, clearly something is wrong. nothing is on sale today...and the board is insanely slow. sounds like they've had another system issue. it might be smart to close the site for a few days & fix the issue.

Lets hope its just a system issue today for the go-slow, cos if its this bad today I don't wanna think what it'll be line on ticket sale day

it's not the hardware..it's the software.

they could have been doing a test in the background....or their internet connection might have had a problem today.

I see this all as a good thing (unless) the tickets go on sale pre Jan... No money to travel.

I'm sure around Christmas is a bad idea for ticket sales anyways. Unless you're Bing Crosby.

Speaking as someone who works in the field of IT infrastructure, I REALLY hope they don't host the server running the ticket sales on the same server that hosts the forum. That would be horrible design.
