FINALLY...Hung a few posters!!

Yes, I FINALLY got around to it. Just been too damn busy as of late. So, that said, I took a few pics (shitty ones at that) to show the start. I would like to start above the NEOCON's and LO2L and move up and left. If you have ANY suggestions as to what you might think would look good, I AM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!! hahaha

The first six links are the newly taken photos and the last one is all of them so you can see the other posters that still need to go up so you can use those to choose what goes next. I dont have a whole lot going on tonight, so for the next few hours if any one is so inclined, I will taken requests, hang them and add photos as we go. Might be kind of fun?? I guess we will see from the response! hahaha

I think it'd look really good if you made some plan related to the colors in the posters. You have so many that you could have areas focusing on certain colors (maybe half a wall) and then gradually move towards a related color and then others. If you did that, the whole room would seem to have a shape besides the individual pictures on the posters.

At least, if I had so many nice ones, I'd probably do that.

I hear what your saying and in my head it makes sense. Can you give me an idea using the ones that are on the wall already?

THANKS!! Tried to get them as straight as I could. Hanging posters by yourself is HARD. It really takes two and I just cant find anyone to help! Masterframer offered to come over, but I cant afford to fly him in right now so I am trying to make due. It is tough!!

I think the one over the door should go.
And i think that the AWESOME DC Poster should go above the neocons in the center, nothing on the sides of it then others above. You DO have DC right? Like this:

I'm having trouble making this look as I imagine it with the colored text. I think I'll try words instead.

Find posters with at least two out of three common colors. Put them together in one section. The next section on your wall would have at least ONE of the previous colors but relate to the next group in a similar way. So, you might have a green, blue, yellow (with black or white words) section next to a blue, purple, brown (with black or white words) section. Then it could move to a brown, red, orange section.

The point is to have groups and use a transition color or two between sections so they seem related.

Wow, I'm so envious. The NEOCON looks fantastic. That Vancouver one is pretty ugly though and I can say it because I got it and had it framed, but it's not my favorite. I rotate mine - like I replaced the Vancouver one with NW School, but I'm sure I'll get bored with that, too. Looks like you've got a lot of wall space to work with. And I agree about putting the DC one in some great spot.

right. this is why i suggested the DC poster above the neocons. same colors.

also, one area can be all of the......"monsters" or"characters".....like the lollapalooza style.

Yea, I have DC, just not framed yet. I have to work with what I have framed right now. I ran out of $$ for the framer ..These set me back quite a bit. So look through ALL the posters in the last link and see what else you guys might like!!

I see what you are saying. Seems like a cool idea. Just not sure i have the eye for it. So you see what is on the walls now....What should come next based on that theory with what I have framed??

I am afraid that if you go with the color combo-ing, then what will happen if you don't have enough to make sense of the rest of the room, in terms of colors.
I really like the one hanging above the door. With the high ceilings, I think you need something there.

I can deal with the cluttered desk....but the crooked light switchplates are driving me CRAZY!

I would move the LOTL somewhere else because that wall could be red, blue, white and black. The orange in the LOTL would look better near other posters with orange/red/black or orange/red/brown or something with yellow.

The green one over the door might work if you put other ones with that green on the other wall to the right of the door. You could use it as a transition one because it has the red, black and white in common with the ones on the left.

ok. The VFC hawk by the santa barbara one should go on the NEOCON wall. And the poster to the right of the screen that i believe is ALSO from VFC should go there too. the orange-ish fire looking one. It breaks up the colors nicely.

Okay, looking around the room, I see what you are saying, and while I VERY MUCH appreciate that input, I am affraid that I would get too frustrated trying to do that and get it right. Lets just try the mix and match thing for now. I do like the idea very much, I think it is just too much for a simpleton like myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH THOUGH FOR THE IDEA. SO will you still help, or am I dead to you now?? hahaha

ok for RIGHT NOW......
hang the hawk and the fire one i described side by side in the CENTER above neocon. Leave the DC space open and at the end of the night we'll place one there. Im thinking of a blueish one for the sides of the hawk/fire.
