30-40 bucks is steeeep, plus those lines to get in and out looked brutal.

there's tons of street parking. i'd recommend getting there before 630 to get a good spot. and dont' be afraid to drive east or west 3 blocks, many more spots over there...

it's not dangerous and there were plenty of cops around
it's funny when things change so much, it's all state of mind...
  • i parked right on the street as usual - literally a block away - i expected to look for parking for at least a half hour - took us 30 seconds and for free - we did get there early - around 4:45 or so - sidenote: el conde restaurant across the street had some good food (dominican i think)

  • DO NOT park at the garage right by the theatre on Broadway. It was $25, took an hour to get in and more than an hour to get out. It was the worst. Drive around the block a few times til you find something on the street.
  • why drive take the subway, save ur gas

parked at 7 o clock at a gas station on 174th and broadway, paid the attendant 10 bucks, got out of the show and into the car and was on the harlem river drive in 3 mins, best place to park .

worst advice ever. they prey on drunk white people. dont look at anyone in the eye. a few blocks east or west is the jungle. no cops. when they show ends at 11pm....definitely no cops around. not more then usual. and if you're walking with a hot, white chick.....you will be either: 1.walking with your head down. or 2. defending her against 8 teenage dominican thugs. have fun.

    racist moron.
  • For all of the people that said that they paid $10-$12 at the garage at 184th and Broadway....how early did you get there? I parked there around 3:30 (yeah, I got there way early....early enough to meet Eddie himself!) but only paid $7 when I picked my car up after the show! I definitely thought the guy said $17 at first, so I gave him a 20, but sure enough, $13 back in change! I definitely recommend this lot; I only waited in line 5 minutes to get my car at the end of the night. The walk isn't bad either.

Don't listen to this guy, he's the same one that was complaining on another thread about having to go to a show on a Monday night. The nerve of Eddie not playing on the weekend for him!! This is what he wrote:

    Nyc 1 = Snooze Fest

It would have been much better in a smaller venue. The idiot fans ruin it. How many times do you assholes need to get up for beer or whatever the fuck you do 14 times during the show? Stay home jerks. EDDIE DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOUR SCREAMING. HE WONT PLAY YOU A SONG IF YOU YELL IT OUT AFTER EVERY SONG. The set is written out backstage. This show did it for me I think.....I'm spent on PJ for a while. I expect exactly the same thing tomorrow night.....setlist included. And if Ed gave a shit about the fans, why does he do the show on a Monday night at 9pm? We are all not millionaires that live in Hawaii. We have jobs dude. Most of us anyway. To much to ask for shows on Friday or Saturday night? I guess so. Whatever is convenient for you Ed. I dont know.... this tour has left a sour taste in my mouth. END RANT.

I went with my 16 year old daughter and we parked on the street. We went back to my truck before the show and there was a crowd of guys around my truck and no one bothered us.
Shine on all you crazy diamonds!!!!

Are we getting something out of this......all encompassing trip?

I walked the 20 blocks between the United Palace and my apartment both to and from the show (by myself) and not once did I feel I was in any danger. Walking home after the show I did pass a few cops on patrol going up and down Broadway, but the vast majority of the people I passed were either people returning home from their jobs or families on the street enjoying the nice night.

This coming from the same douche who won't own up to his douche bag rant saying how the show sucked last night. Dude, you are THE WORST.
  • also coming from the same person that said he visits the restaurant across the street with his wife frequently, the same spot he claims has every drug available

It is washington heights.... not the best neighborhood in town. all drugs available within 5 blocks. weird. maybe he wants to be on Broadway.

If you live in a color-less world like this dude apparently wants to, just drive down ten blocks to Columbia Pres. and you can walk amongst the young, white doctors ;)

All of the above is flat out absurd. The neighborhood is fine, and in fact one of the up and coming (read: gentrifying) areas of the city. Chill out, get there a little early (I got there about 5ish), and drive around within a five block radius. You'll find a free spot. No need to pay for a garage/lot.

And another note to this douche: If you walk around the world with your head down, you miss out on life. Look around you. Look people in the eye and nod with respect. Maybe even smile. You just might get the same back.

I parked at 185th, just above Ft. Washington street, right on the street for free.

Took me about 10 minutes to walk to after the show, but then I zipped right out. (The GW Bridge is right there on 179th). It was between a park and some nice apartments and seemed pretty safe.
