All Songs Considered on NPR is having a poll that I thought you all might be interested in. Sounds like they have some young interns and they are trying to figure out at what age people stop knowing what this symbol is. Be sure to vote!

  • They should probably also do a poll of their typical demographic because I would be willing to bet there aren't a lot of 18 and unders who listen to NPR :)

  • I believe that the 25% figure refers to the fact that 25% of the people who responded are in their 30s.

Don't! I'm aware I'm probably in the vast minority! If you asked me this question a year or two ago, I wouldn't have known the answer.

Anyways, side note, It's pretty cool that in short I know what this is because of Pearl Jam :)
