I'm sorry your youngest step child's malady brings up feelings of your previous devastating, worse thing in the world loss. Keep sharing your feelings. We're here for you!
  • Just back from hospital . See what tonight brings.. having a child as an older man is very hard having been through it all before and knowing what's what.
As far as step children. My advice is don't get on that situation if you can .

Sad and exhausted. I lost my Dad 2 days ago. He was the one that got me into music. Ironically he passed away on the anniversary of John Lennon’s passing as he was the biggest Beatles fan I have ever met, it was almost like he hung on to get to that specific date.

As a resident of America Jr, I am embarrassed by association. Thought 2016 was an aberration. It’s such a bizarro world where half the country truly believes he promotes strength and the rest of the globe knows he’s just a corruptible buffoon. When the world’s dictators are rooting for you…

Apathetic, numb, disappointed, exhausted.  Embarrassed that I live in a country where a majority of voters don't give a shit about right or wrong.

Embarrassed and ashamed.  I never felt this way before, and really disgusted that so many are duped by propaganda.  It's 2024, and my expectations for humans is that they are able to "think" better.  Society is dumbed down too much (by design of course).  Really unbelievable.

I'm no longer mad at the propaganda pushers (Fox News, Tucker, etc...).  Can't help but be annoyed and frustrated at the people who refuse to think, or care, or fact check.  But the higher ups keep pushing that it's "not cool to be smart".  It's in multiple media platforms.  The idea that being smart is a nerdy, or not cool.  Ok bravo higher ups, that's a smart way to dumb down society.  People don't want to be considered uncool, or an outcast.  So they feel comfortable in their dumbed down versions.

Very annoying that the masses don't have enough self-worth or self-love to rise up and be better versions of themselves.  Seeking knowledge and truth.  Instead, a lot of self-hatred, which breeds outward hatred.  And this is the MAGA way.

I point at both parties.  The Republican party never should have let Trump get through their primary after January 6th.  They're so desperate and void of contrite they felt there was only one candidate who could get the Oval Office and they all did 180's and acted like there was nothing said on their part in the aftermath four years ago.  The Democratic party never should have allowed Biden to run for re-election, or at least urged him much earlier on not to do so.  Harris gained momentum after the debate, but honestly did she ever have a chance?  It was too late to put up a different Democrat to run against Trump.  In hindsight, the majority of voters had their minds made up long before she replaced Biden on the ticket.  Now I need to move forward and figure out how I will approach the next four years and what kind of example I want to set for my 11-month old.  I can only say I'm grateful Harris and Biden have handled this with the respect our election process deserved four years ago.

Nope. A weak campaign from the the beginning. And I am sad about that. Why did it take her so long to concede? Because she was not well coached through the entire process.

She conceded the same day it was called. Saying it took her too long is absurd. Especially given what happened 4 years ago.

I'm a little lost on this statement. Posting a transcript of Trump's 2020 cencession speech would help me see what you mean.
