Excited that I'm going to Dana Point for the day with my family. I actually have a cousin I haven't seen in years that lives there that I reconnected with on Facebook.
I'm glad there is actually some peace and quiet now. I had fun these last few days but have also had a little too much of the in-laws. Maybe next year's Christmas will be better. I am very thankful and blessed for all that we have. My poor son is in a lot of pain though--just had braces put on--keep him in your prayers or good vibes.
I asked for and received an ashbead necklace from my mom for Christmas. Seeing the final product yesterday morning was emotional. Today I'm finally home relaxing and looking at my gift and I am so thankful. My dad would have loved this idea and I am peaceful knowing something beautiful was made using a part of him.

That is really beautiful. You should feel very good about the gift and its significance. Obviously it can't replace him but will give you a sense of peace within I think.

That's beautiful. We went through Stardust Memorial for my dad's urn/candle holder last year. They have necklaces too. Where did your mom get that one from? I think I may still put some ash in a necklace one of these days. We scattered some around his parents' grave last spring. I hope you had a good Christmas, Sprunkn7.
