Of course, I completely agree with you -- I keep my thermostat at about 60 the whole time in the winter. The only downside is it takes forever to get out of bed in the morning ...

63-65 for me... one of the roommates turns it to 70 on occasion and it pisses me off.

ours goes down to 60 at night. it's programmed to come on an hour or so before we have to get up so the house is warm for us.

when we are at home, we typically have it set at 72

I have a heater in my office, the fucker just takes all day to finally heat up. Very annoying. I'm not above wearing my Snuggie.

I have a small heater in my room, but no need to waste the money on the electricity from having that fucker blow all day. The gigantic television is bad enough

I mean, it is actually unbearable. If it's up too high I'll be getting up almost every hour to get a glass of water. Gets pretty damn dry

    72 ... way too warm!

I'm only home for a couple hours each night before I go to bed, though, so it's never really made sense for me to turn it up at all. Although the idea of having it get warmer before I wake up is appealing ... too bad I don't have a programmable thermostat! :fp:

Pretty nostalgic too actually, and I've a bit of a headache but I'm snuggled on the sofa in my fluffy dressing gown (with a hood and ears) so all will be ok :)
