Some Seattle history in Skin Yard LP I just bought

Picked up a vinyl copy of Skin Yard's first album on clear vinyl today, first pressing. Matt Cameron plays on this one, listed as Matthew Cameron on the back. Inside the sleeve was a letter from their label C/Z records. Thought it was kind of cool and a slice of Seattle music history. Grammatical errors and type spacing as is on original copy.

Hello-

We are enclosing a copy of our most recent release, the first LP by the Seattle based band Skin Yard. It is hoped that this is received in time for your deadline date for review copies.

SKIN YARD has been in existence for about two years in Seattle having played with several out-of-town bands including SPECIMEN, TUPELO CHAIN SEX, SNAKEFINGER,THE RHYTHM PIGS, BATTALION OF SAINTS, SACCHARINE TRUST and LETHAL GOSPEL. Their following here is fairly substantial . With the release of this record, it is hoped that a more national visibility can be established.

Currently we have 7 distributors for this records: IN the U.S., SYSTEMATIC, IMPORTANT, and KALEIDOSCOPE; In Canada, there is ZULU, BONEPART, and the RECORD PEDDLER:In Europe there is SEMEPHORE.

Timing is the crucial factor as far as reviews are concerned. I'm hopeful then that you folks may review this in time for your next issue however I realize that the influx of records can cause a backstock and therefor prohibit

this. Nontheless we still hope you can review this hot slab as soon as possible.

    good album, I picked that up at Everyday Music in Capitol Hill in Seattle. I think it's one of the first known recordings of Matt. He left Skin Yard shortly after that record to join Soundgarden.
