looking through the set lists i myself am going for both toronto shows (well the second night for now) and hamilton. but from what i gather from reading about these shows, these are the ones that are favorites for a lot of people, including those who attended several shows. .."...bring it back someway bring it back, back, back... to the clean form, to the pure form..."

Yellow Ledbetter"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

I can tell you Toronto 2 is not quite as good as Toronto 1 because its nowhere near as tight musically. I always recommend people buy boots based off setlists they prefer, unless it has been noted that a show is majorly sloppy. I really gig the setlist to Toronto 2, but the performance is nowhere near as solid as the first night. In my opinion, Hamilton has the best setlist of the tour, except for the Alpine shows. I ordered the Hamilton cd, so I cant comment yet on the performance.
Of course you can get the Toronto 1 boot for free. So I recommend that in general.2008: Bonnaroo
2010: Bristow
2012: Atlanta
2013: Charlottesville, Charlotte
2014: Cincinnati
2016: Greenville, Hampton, Raleigh (cancelled), Columbia, Lexington

That Toronto 1 show is really something. Excellent recording and the band sounded almost spot on. I haven't heard a version of DTE that clean in forever.0

I feel that way about Hail, Hail from night two... The power contained in this excellent audio recording makes it feel almost like the album version - really impressive.Predaking wrote:That Toronto 1 show is really something. I was at Calgary, which was special, with the REM tribute, Kelly Slater dedication of Big Wave, Rats esp for Alberta, preseason hockey/smashed '59 strat comments, FUCKIN UP & Deep/Light Years for Shawn. REALLY special. Oh shit!! I almost forgot about PARACHUTES!! (hey Joe) only show on the tour where it was played, as well as Johnny Guitar...
I also have the tour ender in Vancouver, which my brother attended as his 1st PJ show. Lots of NO CODE played, as well as Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns. I'd love to have all of them.Post edited by Hussa onSept. 4, 2005 - Calgary Saddledome

Honestly, I think the DVD/Blu-ray thing is reserved for the Alpine weekend. It's about time for PJ to release another concert DVD.
Also, I'm still waiting on Toronto 1. I want a proper set of discs for this one.0
