i'm with ya. i think it's getting to the point where they have to announce the release date of all these "limited edition" items well ahead of time. an exact date and time the sale starts, similar to trying to get tickets.

even though the website is garbage and the server is 3rd world it will give everyone a fair shot (and finally, maybe some encouragement for the 10C to UPGRADE their servers). first come, first serve.

their current system is leaving alot of 10C members in the dark. that's not right.

I am a little annoyed by this too. I check the site pretty regularly and for that reason don't miss many on sales. I was online to buy the backpack, white backspacer, AV posters if I had wanted to, etc. I know having to check the site regularly just sort of goes with the territory.

But putting something on sale the day before Thanksgiving? The busiest travel day of the year when therefore the fewest people are probably near computers? It really seems like there is no reward for loyalty, only for obsession.

I am a loyal fan, but am not obsessed, guess that's why I missed out. Can't of leaves me feeling crappy.

I checked my phone Thanksgiving night and saw it was sold out, that really sucked. Was travelling the whole evening before, woke up, ran a charity race Thanksgiving morning, spent the day with family and by the time I checked that night thinking "There's no way it would have gone up now, but what the hell, let me check anyway", it was gone.

This band in particular seems to really believe in the importance of promoting vinyl and small record stores, then when they create the demand they don't believe in selling enough vinyl to meet that demand?

we have to wait to see if these orders even are fulfilled. a bunch have already been cancelled on amazon as well as easy street. i suspect more will be cancelled on other web retailers in the near future.

i am lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) to have a desk job and i am able to visit the site pretty regularly throughout the day. but that shouldn't give me an advantage or privilege over another 10C member.

i was lucky enough to score the backpack. had the buy button on the white backspacer, but passed because i already have the regular vinyl, and remembered it is my least favorite PJ album and would just collect dust

that's just teh way it is with stuff here. once you accept that, it's nots so bad.

i didn't see the backpack until the next day...but did see the white backspacer shortly after it went on sale.

i didn't see the PJ20 record until it had been on sale 4 or 5 hours. still a little suprised it was on sale, so i grabbed one.

it's just like anything else in life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and it's not the end of the world if you lose sometimes.

we usually get a VERY LATE email about things (when they're already sold out) but at least we get an email

thats the boat im in. Im cool with random on sale times (other than tickets). I landed a backpack, PJ20 deluxe (which was up for 3 weeks anyways) and a white vinyl.

Missed checking the board due to the holiday and logged on a few hours too late for this Vinyl. Tough luck. Ill live.

I've been procrastinating on this item for a while - for reasons of my own, including the doubts I have that it's going to sound very good. I decided this morning I would only end up regretting if I completely miss out, so was looking for a mainstream supplier that still had some left, and would ship to the UK - couldn't find one, so your B&N pointer was welcome, thanks. I'll let you know if they can't honour it!
