One L or two?
"There's a $10,000 bill in it for you."
"Oh yeah? Which president's on it?"
"Uh, all of them. They're having a party. Jimmy Carter's passed out on the couch."

    One "L" :)
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols
  • The actual word - One L (as in "adhering firmly and devotedly to")

The Pearl Jam song - Two L's (as in "full up of faith")
"I get into a state of consciousness that I can't explain. It is about feeling and not thinking. I get positive chills and insight into things that I can't get to any other way. It is Healing of the Soul." - Mike McCready

The song and beer? Two Ls.

The actual correct spelling of the word? One L.

I think what threw me off was that the beer had two L’s, but it was spelled with one L on the back of the Live at the Garden DVD.

  • I don't think things like this even matters.

For Pearl Jam, it seems from a song naming standpoint the names of songs as printed on the albums are for reference only. I know Eddie likes to use shorthand when writing set lists, but some songs have different names as they do on the album.

    These come immediately to mind:

I Got Id / I Got Shit (though the latter is the official name of the song)
Why Go / Why Go On (at least I think I have seen it written this way on a set list)

The song has 2 "l"s. It's supposed to be ironic, and this is obviously lost on many.

Agreed. But I always wondered, "Furry Thing" - one "r" or two?
I smile, but who am I kidding...

Why Go / Why Go On (at least I think I have seen it written this way on a set list)
That makes no sense...the lyric is "Why go home"...so why would it be referenced on a setlist as "Why Go On"?

I'm pretty sure "Go" is sometimes setlisted as "Don't Go", but never heard of "Why Go" being "Why Go On".
