The Cure are doing a trio of shows each in L.A. and NY.

In addition to playing their first 3 albums in their enitrety, they also do 3 encores worth of other stuff as well.

Even though some of their songs are very short, it is amazing they pack 45 songs into one show!

Tomorrow night, Morrissey is also playing a show in L.A., just a block away from the Cure show.

Not sure which group of fans would prevail in a street fight!

Did you go to the show Monday night? I'm not a huge Cure fan, but I did enjoy most of their set at Coachella a few years back.
Stood in line today at the Music Box to hold a spot for a friend who wanted to buy Morrissey tickets. Surprisingly, it didn't sell out right away with the people that were waiting in line. I guess with the $75 ticket price and 2 other area shows already going on, there wasn't crazy demand.
Saw him play "How Soon is Now?" at Coachella and that was enough for me. :)

We are fixin' to go to The Cure on Weds. night. We didn't get tix during the onsale, but the secondary market was a bit weak, so we got tix for face value. We are seeing Mozz on Saturday. Mozz shows are always such a hero worship spectacle to me.....I love it!
  • I am so excited about Friday's and Sunday's show in NYC. I'm looking for a ticket for Saturday night. Checked Stubhub and damn EXPENSIVE! But I'm not quiting this is a must see show. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbsW8u1C ... plpp_video

I know, I'm psyched, I love the early stuff! Seventeen Seconds is one of my favorite albums :D
  • Just got back from an incredible 3hr 15min 48 song set!! What a great show!! They sounded clear and tight from start to finish. Three sets of encores to finish it off, with the last one starting at 11:20ish- and the show ending at 11:45- fuckin awesome! Glad I got to see this tour!
  • how wish to see them live...
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Fridays and Sundays show were awesome!
Their first 3 albums live were great. Robert Smith sounded great. Simon was kicking ass on Bass. The rest of the original members were back for the second and third albums. Three encores were great!! Lot's of fans dancing and singing along. These are some of my highlights:

    10:15 Saturday Night
    Grinding Halt
Subway Song (Love seeing Robert with Harmonica such a cool beat)
    Play for Today
    Meathook
    In Your House
    Three Imaginary Boys
    A Forest
    Fire In Cairo
    Doubt
    The Drowning Man
    Other Words
    Boys Don't Cry
    Close To Me
Let's Go To Bed (I thought it was a girl but when I saw the youtube video it was a guy who went on stage and kissed Robert!!! Then security grabbed him and took him away. It was hilarious to see Robert's late reaction)

Robert did mentioned as per tweets on Saturday that they will come back soon...I hope it's the tour of their next three albums! :D

NY got cheated....they weren't supposed to play any newer stuff at these shows!

L.A. and London got what was advertised!
