I understand your frustration, I really do, and I agree with you in general, but I would like to tell you about my 10C PJ20 vinyl experience.

I don't know what are the 10C business hours, or if the people who work there have different check in and check out hours, but what I know is that 10C time is 4 hours earlier from where I live, Buenos Aires. The day it went on sale I was out. I went to a gig, and I left home in the afternoon. I don't know at what time it went on sale, but it was while I was out. I had to be early at the venue to take photos during the soundcheck, and I had to be there no later than 6 pm, so I must have left home around 5 pm. Then I had to take photos while the people were entering the venue, and of course during the show which started at 9 sharp. And after the show, I had to take photos with the band who decided to go out and sign cds and other stuff for the fans and take pictures with the fans. When I was done with taking pictures, I logged in with my cellphone to check if there was any news, specially because I'm into vinyl and I've been waiting for this since I first saw the movie. So I notice that the vinyl was available on the goods section but for some reason I could not buy it from the cellphone. I don't know what time it was, but I said goodbye quickly to the band and the crew, some friends of mine, the bus came fast so I made it for the last train of the day, which leaves at 11:50 pm. I kept trying to buy the vinyl with my cellphone but I couldn't. I arrived home before 1 am, logged in from my desktop computer and bought the vinyl.

As I said before, I agree with all you said, in general, however, I can say I was out for around 8 hours and I could get one. Many people here was out as well since they were travelling to their homes since it was Thanksgiving on the following day and they manage to get one as well. Even people from Europe manage to get one.
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

thanks for the reply, but i'm not sure of the point that you're trying to make... is your point that they made enough to last a whopping 10 or 12 hours before they sold out?? wow, big f'ing deal. i mean, good for those that got one, that's great, but it does nothing for the THOUSANDS of fanclub members that didn't get one. not because they didn't want to pay FIFTY BUCKS for a copy, but because they never had he opportunity to do so. oh well, at least we've got the christmas single just around the corner... sorry, is that joke even funny anymore? no, it's not. maybe they'll put some effort into the music that's on it for once, rather than the fancy artwork. i think we should all send them a big thanks for slapping on two songs from red rocks '95 that we've all had on bootleg since '96. it was well worth the wait. ah the good ol days of studio outtakes like angel, sonic reducer, let me sleep, and reasonably priced merchandise and tickets. a nice studio effort would be cool this time around, and i don't mean disrespecting us by wasting our money with a joke of a song like "santa god" or mike playing "jingle bells" on guitar.
