doesn't this seem like the state basically took away their right to procreate?

I must be missing something...

anyone have any other knowledge of this case?

I don't have knowledge of the case, but they can still procreate all they want. If they took custody of the other kids, this isn't unusual. Happens often when mom/baby test positive for drugs.

I don't know the details of this specific case. I don't know whether or not the allegations of domestic violence is true or not.
That said, they can name their kid whatever they want and raise their kids however they want... even neo-Nazis. Doesn't mean I have to think it's a smart thing to do, but, this is still America.
My only opinion is that this poor kid is going to be on the recieving end of a few ass kickings because of his parent's poor choice. I mean, they can legally change their names to Adolph Hitler and Eva Braun and deal with the consequences of that decision... but, laying that name on the shoulders of their kid... kinda stupid, in my opinion.
    ...
Besides... the whole thing came to light when a bakery refused to write 'Happy Birthday, Adolph Hitler' on a cake for the kid's birthday and they made a big stink about it.
Couldn't they have just bought a cake decorating tube and written it themselves?
    ...
also... would you send your kid to Adolph Hitler's birthday party?

is that what happened here? I don't know I am asking, I didn't see that in the story but didn't have time to check the link and get too far into it.

I don't know...hopefully more will come out that makes proves this was the right thing to do.

Huh. Not very much information here. I'm not entirely sure what the point of the article is.

yeah i saw this a few days ago and am still wondering what the problem is. parents name their kids stupidly every hour of the day.. surely theres got to be more to the story.
    hear my name
    take a good look
    this could be the day
    hold my hand
    lie beside me
    i just need to say

thats what I was wondering. I remember the cake controversy and remember hearing that child services got involved but hadn't heard anything else about them. Then all I read in that story was they removed an infant from a mother hours after they were born...strange timing...so I was hoping someone who had a little more knowledge would be able to shed some light on the subject. having trouble finding any other info

that is the link to the only other story that had at least a little more info. Still doesn't say much, but it is odd that they took the kid without a court order (allegedly I suppose until more info comes out)

    who knows...thought it was interesting
