What the hell, why is this gone? I know, there's a lot of rare songs I could start a thread about ... I'm sure someone's already started a thread for said rare songs.

I loved this song night-after-night during the Avocado tour, and I want to hear it again, at least once.

I'm sure it will be played again shortly... although I think there are better songs on Avocado that probably will be rarely played now, such as Marker in the Sand... I guess that is what happens when you have such a huge catalog of songs.

yeah i miss it too! Maybe they're keeping it loaded in the barrel for an election tour later this year.

I'm actually going to disagree here. Certainly, I wouldn't mind it being played here or there ... I just got burned out on it in '06, and haven't really recovered.

I guess this is how some people feel about Corduroy.

It is odd, though, that WWS hasn't been played yet. It was an every-night song on the last tour, and usually those don't disappear overnight.

Or maybe they´ve realised it´s actually not a very good song...

  • I dig it, but don't mind that its on the backburner this tour. I'm sure it will be back soon enough.

This can't be it, because Ed continues to play No More.

Cool. I understand this view ... I was burned out on Severed Hand at the end of the '06 tour, which is one of the best tunes off Avocado. Fortunately, my burn outs do tend to wear off.

Now, Severed Hand I got no beef with ....

  • Yeah...I hope they rest this song on the tour.

Honestly, the only Avocado songs I really enjoy are Unemployable, Parachutes, and Comatose.

They just played WWS on my TV, in that SNL repeat on E!

    does that count?

Nope ... My Grand Rapids '06 boot that is on right now doesn't count either.

I must say that I was hoping for WWS or Life Wasted at the Columbia show, but after that amazing performance, I'm not disappointed at all that they didn't play either....

Im not a big fan of WWS when i hear it on a bootleg but it's kick ass when your hearing it live.

    Sorry if the truth hurts.

There seems to be a significant drop in the number avocado songs on this tour, which is fine by me as I consider it their weekest album, or rather it would be fine with me if I were going to see them, but as I live on a different continent that not going to happen (ouch!)

hopefully they put it away. they need to put away one song so that when it resurfaces, there's a huge buzz about it. If they put away Jeremy for like 4-5 years, people (us) would be talking about it, and it would be pretty cool when it would get busted out. Obviously, it'd need to be a big song (unlike Who You Are, WMA, etc), as it'd be more noticeable. Look in 2000 US tour when they put away Alive (for obvious reasons). The Key Arena erupted when it was played, because it was noticeably gone for the whole tour.

All this being said, I don't think WWS qualifies as the song to be put away. I actually thought Jeremy was going to be put away.

I'm so happy this song is not being played. So many others I'd rather hear. Thank You!

Please don't, its not a great live song. I like how they've taken the cream of the crop live from Avocado like SH, LW, Comatose, Unemployable, Marker, and Gone.

Aw, you just reminded me of the slow, revamped Jeremy from '95, '96 ... They should play it like that again!

Honestly? I bet we get it (WWS) tonight, rendering this thread totally superfluous.

Sign me up for WWS. It rocks so much it makes me want to fight, in like a war....

I wonder what this song is about.

Yeah they should replace this hit with Education, All Night or Who You Are, right Stranger?

Um ... Ironically enough, its an anti-war song. ;)
