One of the walkers at this past weekends San Diego 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Research is a young Marine, stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. He signed up only 3 weeks prior to the event because he wasn't sure of his deployment date back (for yet, another tour) to Afghanistan. That didn't give him much time to fund raise for the event.
His name is Justin LeBlanc. I didn't meet him, amongst the 3,600 or so people on the event, but I heard his story from a friend/walker. Justin's unit ships off in 2 weeks, but, that does not mean you cannot donate in his name.
As for me, I offset my expense the event has to pay for my being an on-site voluenteer (food, water, porta-potties, shower trucks, my part of permits, security, police, fire, EMT, vehicle rentals, etc...) by sponsoring the walkers who had not fulfilled the fundraising minimum. I think that Justin is deserving, not only for his service to my country, but to the commitment he has made in the fight against Breast Cancer.
Now, I'm not asking anyone to donate, I am just letting you know about one person who walked all 60 miles of the fundraising event. 60 miles ain't shit for a Marine grunt because they do that shit all the time. But, from what my friend told me, he carried a 60 pound backpack to represent the 60 miles for all of the walkers out there. If you would like to contribute to Justin's effort, this is his participant webpage:

This is not a pro-war or anti-war thing... or a this cancer versus that cancer thing. It is merely one person... Justin, trying to accomplish something for many people.
