    take caution with this company. i placed an order with Reckless through GEMM for a gatefold 2-lp, which they listed as 'new'. before the transaction was completed, the owner of the account mentioned to me that the records were in near-mint condition, but the gatefold had seen better days because it was beaten up from sitting along with other lps with the shrink-wrap torn off. the company removes shrink-wrap from new lps and puts them in the racks with others for sale, hence the damage. i requested pictures, which i got after waiting a few days, and i thought the gatefold looked like pure garbage for something being listed as 'new'. in the end, i e-mailed them requesting a refund, but i never heard back from them. my order sat in the "waiting for seller to confirm payment" stage for what seemed like forever, so i had to receive my refund by contacting GEMM's support.
    i have witnessed some performances. i have soaked up a lot of memories.

    I ordered this online yesterday. They said it'll ship to me on Monday. They don't update their website on the weekend.

    Thanks! I ordered Rearviewmirror from them and it was mint as advertised. I also ordered Avacado from them which they said was near mint and it was a little more beat up than I would have liked but it was only $80.

    I don't know why they would have more than one, their site only had one listed. They usually re-shrink wrap it so I'm sure it's the same one. Thanks for the support, I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this was a jerk move.

    Actually I went there right after the first post. I just saw your post after I had already gotten home. Also, this is factory sealed as the sticker from another record store was still on the outside. Hopefully they had another copy, but your qualm is with the store...

    Have to agree. If they sold their one copy to Ryan yesterday then they shouldn't have sold the same copy to Kelly today.

    Strange, this is the second time I have heard of this happening. Not sure if it was this same store (it was definately in chicago as well), but last time it was a Benny Hall. Believe is went for as cheap at like 500. Someone posted that they bought it online here and then someone went into that record store the next day after the purchase and got it.

    well, i already explained my situation before with this store in an above post. if what happened is indeed true, which of course is the store's mistake, i am not surprised at all for it to happen. what i suggest to ryan is to keep an eye on paypal, if you paid with it, to see how long you have to open your resolution case. i have a feeling getting a response from this store via e-mail is like pulling teeth. getting a refund is a whole other monster on its own. good luck.

    Sorry bro, I wasnt lurking on the boards all weekend, I had things to do. I was unaware that they didnt update their website on the weekends.

    I have ordered from them before and havent had any issues. Its a bummer that the other poster had a bad experience.
