Has anyone heard of this band? I just listened to the two songs they have on their web page, and they are pretty good. http://thedavidmayfieldparade.com/ For fans of The Avett Brothers, they also sing and perform on some of the songs on Parade's album.

Saw them open for Dawes a couple of months ago. I was super stoked about seeing Dawes live for the first time but DMP completely stole the show. The guy is a performer in the truest sense and completely killed it on the guitar. He did everything from the Truffle Shuffle (for all the Goonies fans) to a guitar solo via tuning the strings while walking thru the crowd and comically dancing the the sounds he was creating. His fellow band mates were super tight too. They performed an excellent cover of Sea of Heartbreak. I'd go out of my way to see him play again....one of the best live shows I've seen this year.

Wow, thanks for the review! I read a few other comments online that also said they put on a hell of a show...but there's not that much information on them out there (not even a wiki entry). The band is playing Dallas early next year...I plan to purchase their album and try to make it to the show if I like the rest of what I hear, but so far so good. I read an article that said their album was recorded live, with the band in the room together...I like that!
