Can you hear the thunder
Crashing in the night
Off in the distance
You can see the lightning strike.

And everything reminds me of you
And the blood we used to share
We were victims of our dreams
Like actors in a play
Or lovers that went too far
We went all the way.

Like The final act in the grandest of plays
We toasted to the night and spilled the wine
And shared our memories.

This is the last curtain call
The final act of our play
And I can hear the thunder crashing in the night
And off in the distance I can see the lightning strike
And it still reminds me of you.

Let’s just close our eyes and say good-by
To a dream that spilled the blood
Of distance memories
And the grandest of plays that took us all the way.

Godfather.
