Media Monkey vs iTunes

I'm beyond frustrated with how slow iTunes has gotten as my collection expands. I have over 300g of music and loading new files seems to take forever. My imac is 2 tb so space isn't a issue. Does anyone have any experience with media monkey or any other alternatives to iTunes.

    I've been using media monkey for about 4 years now. I find it great. Only problem I've ever encountered is that you can't sync media monkey one day and itunes the next. Did that years ago and itunes removed about 1000 songs it didn't recognise. There's probably a way around that but not being super techno I just removed itunes from my comp and have solely used media monkey ever since.

    Winamp's one of the best man, plus get the DFX plug in and put 90s grunge and your music sounds so much better!
