    Cropduster. Fuck.

    Also, Baba, Indifference AND YL.

That 2nd encore would've lasted about 45 minutes.

My only complaint about the setlists in 2011 (which are epic) is the absence of some of the traditional openers, like Sometimes, Of The Girl, etc.

    Cropduster. Fuck.

    Also, Baba, Indifference AND YL.

That 2nd encore would've lasted about 45 minutes.

In fact., it lasted 40 mins :)

    I just arrive home!!!

    What a sweet show.
Really, I don´t know if I'm hurt (have a rib broken or something like that).

I arrived at the venue at 9:00, some friends were saving my a spot at the begining, so I got a great place inside the venue :)
SA crows are dangerous, lots of people started to being pulled away from the area cause they were almost vanishing :(.
X show was great!! different from the others :) Poor Girl and The New World were the first time this tour :), and The New Wolrd was dedicated to my friend Ignacio cause he requested it (with me, but John didn't said my name :( ).

Then PJ entered on stage at 21:15, with a kick ass Unthought Known!!! then one of the best starts I've ever heard!!!

Why go, Animal, DTE, Olé, Corduroy..
after Ed asked us to take the three steps back, he got reaaaally angry because in the middle there were a lot of problems, even he went out of the stage. But he returned and calm the audience with a lovely Small Town.
Cropduster was for me a great and lovely surprise, can't say a lot of Even Flow, but Mike was amazing.
Daughter was a great moment (Red rain was due to Peter Gabril playing the same day in another venue) Another Brick in the Wall was dedicated to the chilean protest against education. I thought when he put his guitar that he was going to play Education. But one of the biggest surprises came!! Setting Forth, simply GREAT LIVE. Then my all time favourite song I Got Shit!!!, tears came out of my eyes, I simply love that song.
GTF a great song for the crowd! Nothingman made the concert perfect for me. Public Imahe was another great surprise. Jeremy, simply a good way to end the main set.

    Encore was great!!
Just Breathe was good as always. Down was great :). I believe in miracles sounded great!!.
WWS was a surprise, I was looking forward to hearong an avocado song, WWS was good, but I would have loved Come Back or Inside Job or Parachutes, a slow tune.
Las Kiss with Jota was great, a great surprise, and a memorable moment for him.
Black was perfect, he did a few We belong together :)
RVM was one of the best songs in the night...how it sounded was awesome really.

    Encore 2:
    Once a huge surpise
Betterman was as always great...Ed was so pleased hearing us. Crazy Mary was a really good choice, of 3 times in chile has been played twice :).
Alive was good, but I've heard better versions :)
Baba was another huge surprise :)
Indifference was requested (he didn't said it was a request, but I know a guy who asked ed in the airport to end with Indifference, and he only answered with thumbs up :)
And Yellow was just a classic ending.

During Indifference I asked the security to take me away cause I was feeling bad (BIG LIE), so I grab my flag that was signed by me and my friends, Eddie waved me when I was walking in front of him and I thown the flag (Jeff grabbed it and keep it :)

What can I say... I'm so happy :)

  • Just arrived home. The show was great; I loved that it was a longer and more diverse show than the ones in 2005, even though they still played a lot of songs from Ten to please the crowd. Cropduster, Setting Forth, I Got Shit, Olé, and Indifference were great surprises that made the show unique.
And well... Yeah, southamerican crowds are dangerous. Me and my gf had a rough time getting in and also during X and the beginning of PJ setlist.

Overall a great, great show... But here in SA is always an odyssey to see PJ live.

  • Back to home, Lima.

    Epic concert for me.

Indifference, i got shit, rearview mirror , public image and baba were the highlights

Eddie left the stage for 2 minutes, angry about the push&pull crowd, but then all goes flow.

Now tomorrow in my city........Light years please

I agree with that, after that powerful 4 first songs(Unthought Known, Why go, Animal, Do The Evolution), i had to move to the left side of the stadium. Because in the middle(I was at 30ft of the scenario), i was pushed back and forth inside the crowd  .
I saw lots of joungsters, which is good because Pearl Jam is reaching more people, but is bad because i don't think i will go again and buy a tix to be in front of the scenario.

Well, it was a great concert. For me was great to hear "Crazy Mary"and sing the first part of "Betterman", "I Got ID" was a nice surprise.

I will be waiting the bootleg.

    Bye!

  • Great show, the 7th. of my life, altough as other has said, the pit was really dangerous. During X and the first 2 PJ´s songs, i was on Mike side, like 40 ft. from first row. Lots of push and pulls, elbows going up and down, actually not so safe for most of the people. I think the band was very very worried before Elderly Woman, because of the view from upstairs of what was going on on the pit. Ed´s face and the way he was asking to step back (and the fact that not to many people follow his sugestion), was really scary.

So i step back to the midle of the pit and was more quiet. The best moment of the night? Nothingman, Cropduster, Baba. I think the audience wasn´t so connected to the band as in 2005, at least in the pit, where most of the people was around 25 years old, so they were more like new fans.

2 hours and 40 minutes of the best band of the world, with quite a good setlist (maybe i cuald have asked for 3 or 4 more songs, because the total was 31).

Oh and for the next show in Chile (hopefully in the next 2 or 3 years) i won´t go to the pit, too risky.

I was on Mike's side too. It was definitely dangerous at the beginning, that's why my gf and I decided to give a few steps back even before Ed asked the crowd. And yeah, the moment when the audience at the pit didn't follow Ed's words was actually kind of scary. I thought "if they continue playing fast songs something could happen". I strongly think this event influenced the guys to continue with a more quiet set after Small Town.
Ince the 4 or 5 first songs ended everything was better and everyone had their own space, even in faster songs like WWS.
The only really bad thing, at least for me, was that I was seriously dehydrated near the end of the show. My mouth was getting dryer and dryer and as I got more tired I was lacking energy to sing along.

But as always... Everything is worth it.
