My list is the exact same, though combined the two EPs as one so their complete works can be included.

did not like AIC...until I saw them a long time ago...
Black...Blue is great at high volume...
when i first got it i listened a lot...not so much anymore

I'd say Jar of Flies is my go to CD...perhaps I'm mellowing with age

And I planted my bolo knife in the neck of mad John Finn. I took his wretched life.
Now I'm over near the bandstand, every hand moving on John Finn's wife...

True, but after initially hearing Black......I sorta thought Layne Staley isn't Layne Staley. Always knew Cantrell sang alot and recognized him as the creative force in AiC, but he is much more responsible for the overall vocal sound than I ever thought.

She also runs an awesome AIC Facebook page.... they're running a holiday raffle of AIC memorabilia on December 27. Any sort of donation to the Layne Staley Fund gets you into the running for a prize. Here's the link for anyone interested:

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/178578218863643/

just ask to join the group and your request will be accepted. instructions for participation in the raffle are located in the group's documents.

    some of the prizes include:

    Signed Poster by AIC
    Signed Shirt by AIC
    "Angry Chair" Gold Record Single
RAW Magazine 1993 w/Layne on the cover
    Facelift newspaper ad
Black Gives Way To Blue vinyl
Mike Starr guitar picks donated by Mike's sister, Melinda

    ...plus more :D

Yeah, Cantrell always had strong background vocals and still does. He's excellent.

It's just so different when a band lose/change their singer. It's the most obvious part that can change..obviously!

Blind Melon coming back with Travis Warren was a bit weird, but it worked because he sounds a bit like Shannon Hoon - like DuVall sounds like Staley. Bit weird though.
