    I'm more of a Hagar fan, but the first 6 albums with Roth are some of the best classic rock ever. VH1 is the best debut album of all time, and one of the best overall albums ever. Balance is probably the VH album I listen to most...I love Ed's guitar playing on it. He sounds reborn. Aftershock, Don't Tell Me, Feelin'. Just a ferocious guitar attack and an amazing, warm tone.

    Dance the Night Away was one of the first 45s I ever owned
    and I never pushed play on VH3...

    In my eyes, there's only 6 real albums. Anything after 84 is a joke. A sad, unfunny joke I should add. So with that:

    Van Halen II
    Diver Down

    All of them are fairly evenly matched though. I mean Diver Down has some great stuff on it amongst the covers (The Full Bug particularly is just killer).
