How anyone can put Scream above anything else is beyond me. That album is just awful.

"You know that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable? Heard Chris Cornell's record? Jesus."
  • Based on what I have:

Badmotorfinger (this has to be Matt's greatest album, by the way)
    Superunknown
    Temple of the Dog
    Loud As Love
    Down by the Upside
    Ultramega Ok

There are a couple really good songs on that album. The first half is pretty much shit with all the Timbaland stuff, but there a few gems in the latter half. I'd say it's better than the last Audioslave album, which I thought was a mailed-in borefest.

    Audioslave - Audioslave
    Soundgarden - Louder than Love
    Chris Cornell - Carry On
    Chris Cornell - Scream
    Audioslave - Revelations

The top 6 are all very close to eachother, IMO. There's a big drop-off after that.

Badmotorfinger (seriously, how does everyone not have this at the top of the list?? )
    Louder Than Love
    Temple Of The Dog

...Badmotorfinger is one of the the best records ever made IMO. I try to pretend Scream was never made.

I love that record too but..........NO FUCKING WAY!!! Just kidding. I just think Badmotorfinger is an absolutely flawless album.

I meant Matt's greatest drumming on an album. I think overall Avocado is better than this album.

Yea I think I ranked Louder Than Love too low on 2nd thought. Maybe right behind Badmotorfinger.

In my eyes, Badmotorfinger is Soundgarden's defining album. Superunknown is awesome no doubt, but there is something about Badmotorfinger that captures so much about Soundgarden & grunge.

1.) Temple of The Dog - Temple of The Dog
    2.) Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
3.) Soundgarden - Louder Than Love
    4.) Soundgarden - Superunknown
    5.) Audioslave - Audioslave
6.) Soundgarden - Screaming LIfe ep
7.) Soundgarden - Down On The Upside
    8.) Soundgarden - Ultramega OK
    9.) Audioslave - Revelations
10.) Chris Cornell - Euphoria Morning
    11.) Chris Cornell - Scream
12.) Audioslave - Out of Exile
13.) Chris Cornell - Carry On

The most significant CC release for me is actually Soundgarden's 'Screaming Life' ep because it was the first time I'd heard them and I got it the same day I got Green River's 'Rehab Doll'. Two records that changed the direction of my musical taste for the better...
    “Do not postpone happiness”

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

  • Easy:
